TSW 2017 Syrah. W. O. Swartland. This isn't your s TSW 2017 Syrah. W. O. Swartland. This isn't your standard supermarket fare. Yet it should be. At just over R100 per bottle, rand for rand, you won't find a better red wine in South Africa. Perfect with Friday night hamburgers or when the in laws come over. @trizannesignaturewines @trizanneb
Tasted this beauty a weeks back. 1982 Rustenburg C Tasted this beauty a weeks back. 1982 Rustenburg Cab. Labeled as a Cab, yet as often was the case there might have been some Cinsault in the final blend. As you can see the cork was in pretty good shape, can't say the same for the label that had long disappeared. 38 years young, roughly my age. 😂 Made by Etienne le Riche, some call him Mr Cab, I just call him The Stig of Wine. His reputation with Cab and crafting wines that age beautifully are well documented. But what of the wine? Stunning. Like drinking mothers milk. Fresh, pure clean fruit, sweet in the best possible way, still some dusty tannin in the background. Sometimes older wines can be hard work. And disappointing. This was neither, rather a revelation of the aging potential of a truly profound South African red wine. #memorable

Must be flacky and cause a right mess, made with real butter. I like mine dunked in coffee. However you like yours, the ritual of a morning croissant is one of life's simple pleasures.
A wet and cold Cape Town. Ever since I can remembe A wet and cold Cape Town. Ever since I can remember I have had a love hate relationship with flying.
